The tariff structure of the energy industry is regulated by the Malta Resources Authority.

  Approval of prices for Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) and Propane

 

The prices for LPG and Propane, as sold by Liquigas, applicable from the 1st of February 2012 are as follows. The MRA has confirmed that these prices are at, or below, the maximum prices established through the LPG and propane price mechanism.

Consumers are advised to view the price lists on the distributor's trucks prior to purchasing, and, if in doubt, consumers should request a receipt for thier purchases. •Non-residential consumers with a consumption > 5000 MWh or 5000 MVAh billed on a day and night basis will be charged a day premium of €0.002 and a night discount of €0.035 over the applicable non-residential tariff.

 

The Malta Resources Authority also regulates the water industry tariff structure and tariffs in the minerals resources sector.
