Internet banking
The EU Funds Management Unit has decided that
e-banking documents shall, as from the 25 May 2011,
no longer need to be authenticated by the bank or
financial provider. This means that payment
documents issued from internet banking systems will
be accepted as proof of payment.
However, it must be pointed out that the EU Funds
Management Unit reserves the right to decline
banking documents that are not sufficient or to the
desired standard and request additional evidence of
payment prior to the settlement of claims. For the
avoidance of any doubt ‘print screen’ images and/or
payment transactions still not confirmed as paid
will NOT be accepted as evidence of payment.
Moreover, banking transactions are not an
alternative to fiscal receipts, particularly when
fiscal receipts are required by law.
