Information for Retailers

The Malta Resources Authority (MRA) has issued a scheme where retailers of renewable energy technologies may apply for registration as retailers of solar water heaters, solar collectors and photovoltaic equipment.

Participating retailers are required to register their equipment with the Malta Resources Authority.  Other equipment that does not meet the required standards may still be placed on the market but will not be listed as eligible in the Authority’s website.  In order to be registered, retailers must provide evidence that the technology conforms to specific standards (as listed in Government Notice 52 of 2010).   Registered retailers and their equipment will be listed on the Authority’s website.
